From the tap to the receipt: the whole Monad desk, in one sitting
The other pages are the parts. This is the order they happen in, with the MON figures a 50 MON clip actually produces, and the places the official documentation stops being the right manual.

Start from a wallet that is already on chain 143. The network name is Monad Mainnet. The chain id is 143, 0x8f if the wallet wants hex. The symbol is MON. The RPC and the client revision live on the network information page, and that page is the one to copy from. A blog that freezes a revision, including this one, will be wrong the week the client moves. If the wallet is on any other chain, nothing on this site can help you until you switch, and a signature made on the wrong chain is a signature for a different machine.
Get the coin, then leave some of it alone
MON that pays gas is a native balance on 143. An exchange withdrawal is that balance only if the network picker says Monad. A small withdrawal first, then the hash on MonadVision, then the rest. After it arrives, do not stake or wrap the entire balance. Gas is paid from what you kept. A wrapped stack of WETH or WBTC does not pay gas. A dollar stack does not pay gas. The sheet in the gas canon is the size of the float: enough for an approval and a sell at the limit, not at the fantasy that the receipt will be tiny. This desk keeps 0.25 MON on the trading key for the same reason. That float is not a fee. It is the petrol.
Read four cards before you read the badge
USDC, wETH, wBTC, cbBTC. For each, read the back you would be buying at, the round-trip percent at your chip, and which of your balances can pay. Convert the target into MON. On 50 MON, 1.6 percent is 0.80 MON. Subtract about 0.05 MON of pool fee on a 500 tier, both ways, and about 0.04 MON of gas if both swaps use near 200,000 gas at 100 gwei. You have about 0.71 MON of room if the price does the whole target and the pool does nothing unusual. If your stop in MON is smaller than the bill, the stop cannot save you. Pick a different size or do not take the card. None of this is on the architecture pages. It is the part that decides whether the architecture’s cheap gas is cheap relative to your idea.
The chain being fast does not make a 10 MON idea large. The bill is in MON. The target has to be larger than the bill.
Enter once
Tap one lit button. MON, USDC, wETH or wBTC. Do not tap a second card while the first is signing. The wallet should name the router you expect and the token you expect. A prompt that names a new spender is a reason to stop, not a reason to be quick. When the hash exists, the position is open. The receipt can catch up. If the button was wETH and your stack was slightly under the chip, the fill is the stack, and the card’s spent MON is that stack’s spot value. Do not go looking for a second fill to “complete” the 50. You would be doubling the position.
Leave when you want to leave
Close does not ask whether the gain cleared the fee. It sells. The floor starts at half the mark so the next block does not revert it, and the call is simulated before the wallet is bothered. USDC on a position that is already USDC is not an exit. Close is. A hash removes the card. A timeout that includes a hash removes the card. A revert, seen on the explorer, means the coin is still there and you may close again, once. Two taps on an unconfirmed hash are how a sell becomes two sells.
Put the MON where you can spend it
A wallet close pays the wallet. A vault close pays the vault, then unwraps WMON inside it. The trading key cannot withdraw to a destination you type. Profit above the float returns to the owner written on the vault, which is the wallet you connected. If that balance does not move, read the owner on the explorer before you read a theory. Spare MON that was never in a trade is not missing. A staking receipt is not MON until the queue says so. The green digits on a staking card are the receipt accruing. They are not the red number on a trade. Adding them produces a total that no withdrawal can match.
What to believe when two pages disagree
Believe the latest block for the base fee. Believe the network information page for the RPC and the revision. Believe the receipt for what you paid and what you received. Believe this desk for the order of operations on MONAF, and believe it less than the receipt when they differ. A proposal, a dollar conversion, and a TPS slogan are not parameters. The parameter is the thing your transaction just did.
